Her talent is very well described, how she inspired both Balanchine and Robbins. Her personality comes alive and is intelligently analyzed. The author also digs into the subtle feelings and inner conflicts and doubts that pursue all ballet dancers. The book is full of fascinating details about Le Clercq’s career as well as her professional and personal relationships. Above all, the book is inspiring.
